Sarah Michelle Gellar is pregnant. (Very silly write-up about how, though both she and David Boreanaz are expecting children this year, they are not having them together and of course a reference to a Buffy 2.0)

Sarah's due in the fall, David's wife is due late summer and of course Alyson & Alexis had a baby girl a few weeks ago. If James and Nicky would just find each other and adopt, I could make RPF paper dolls.

You know, I started it. The whole having a baby. Before it was the whole new thing...

Today is the 17th anniversary of my wedding to [info]elcazavampiros. I was going to write up The Ballad and Caza and Sue (no doubt a spine tingler) but I am shagged out from SPN glee and a baby who awoke at 4:30 this morning. But I think I can sum up the perfect symmetry Caza and I have attained in one anecdote:

I will awake early of the morning and find Caza in the kitchen sterilizing bottles or doing a load of his whites (I might have the magic of Clorox 2, but my skills are no match for his ancient Chinese secrets) and greet him with a hearty:

Sue: Hey, guy! (ala Saddam from Team America)
Caza: (without turning around) Don't call me guy, buddy!
Sue: Don't call me buddy, friend!
Caza: Don't call me friend, pal!

This will go on in unthinking, South Parkian glory until one of us gets distracted by a caffeine rush or a wiener dog doing a pee-pee dance.

Happy anniversary Caza, mi Caza. I love that you will dance at the drop of a hat to amuse your son. I love that you've told me 3 times today what kind of conference you're at (something about language professors? No idea.) I love that you sound sexy speaking Chinese. I love that you make bread and crusts better than I do. I love that you watch 57 television shows, even if it mean an overheated DVR and watching some of them online. I love that you're a total Dean girl. I love that you're irresponsibly tall. I love you.

Why is it that the people most likely to do these never get tagged? *cries* I have nothing but time, people!
ETA: From [info]dancetomato:
But you were tagged by Stoney. Hahahaha! Pwned by my own drama.

First: If you've been tagged (or know someone who has), you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new, original question.

  • I'm so sad about Andy Hallett, I can't even say. Jonah listens to Andy's cover of "It's Not Easy Being Green" almost every day, and [info]adis723 and I can hardly get through a conversation without quoting "Who's a little curt? Who's a little Curt Jurgens in The Enemy Below?"
  • I'm super thirsty. So far I've had an extra-large Cherry Coke (light on the cherry) from Coit's Root Beer Stand (you WISH you lived in Oklahoma) and about 1/2 gallon of water.
  • Jonah and Braden are in the living room watching As the World Turns and sitting in bouncing, vibrating devices. Don't judge me.
  • I got my nails done yesterday and I was busy gossiping because I hadn't seen my nail tech since before Jonah was born and I didn't notice that she made them too long. I look like the Grandma on Sixteen Candles. It did remind me of one of my favorite moments with [info]likeadeuce though, who found it so charming that I got manicures while gossiping and drinking blackberry wine with a "Nail Lady" named Twila. Personally, I don't want to live in a world without manicures, blackberry wine and being on a first name basis with your Nail Lady.
  • I took Jonah to get his Easter pictures taken this morning. Gale force winds + two babies + a stuffed duck = me cursing like a sailor. Happy Fucking Easter! The pictures were fantastic. I splurged -- I'll share when they're in.
  • I found out through Facebook that one of my former co-workers, an absolutely gorgeous 21 year-old girl, a former Miss Black Oklahoma (yeah, I know) and on her way to finishing her poly sci degree with a fabulous internship has discovered herself single and pregnant. I'm more upset by this than I should be. I'm sure she'll work things out, but I can't help but be a freaking liberal who wants birth control handed out like Starlight Mints.
  • The number one pleasure in my life right now is the thought of taking a nap. I fantasize about it.
  • SPN wank amuses the hell out of me. It's always over the top and sensational and seems manufactured in a Fandom Wank laboratory. Buffy wank always depressed me, because it was all wordy and sometimes thoughtful and sometimes heavy and sometimes, most times a non-win (Is Angel a big ole 240 year old perv? And rape is always bad, m'kay?) But Supernatural wank makes me mock. And point. And laugh.
  • The ice storm last weekend didn't destroy my jonquils. I love April, spring, Easter, chocolate and the fact that I have a birthday and an anniversary in the same month. Everything's gonna be bright lights and lollipops! Everything's coming up roses for me and for you!

eta Looks like it's gonna miss us and go north. No hail, tho. :( And my inlaws canceled dinner because of storms between here and there so no pasta for me. Love you guys!

Or (and no offense to The Roots) but, uh, don't.

Today is my one year no-smoking anniversary! I would have totally forgotten this milestone event if not for the fact that I scrapbooked yesterday with my best friend Michele and her sister Pamela, both heavy smokers.

Needless to say, I went home after six hours of paper, pictures and buttons (new obsession is shiny) smelling exactly like the inside of Spike's duster. (Not to be confused with fanon Spike, who is the best smelling thing since baked bread, pot roast and Twilight's Bella Swan.)

    I now solemnly apologize )

This does not, however, mean that I've stopped believing that there's anything hotter than Angelus lighting up a smoke or that those candid shots of Jensen with his teeth clenched around a Marlboro (I'm guessing) aren't panty-droppers. I'm only human, y'all.

Last night I watched my state re-elect a man who believes that global warming is a ratings ploy hatched by The Weather Channel. I watched a national map on CNN that for hours showed my home state as the only glowing red in the smack, dab center of the country (not that I expected Oklahoma to go for Obama, and I knew other central states would follow, but did they have to post our results so early? Damn Oklahomans, all prompt and stuff.) Oklahoma exit polls showed that voters overwhelmingly went for McCain over religious and social issues (note to Oklahoma: you were one of the poor states before the market collapse. I'm calling you on the clue phone, but evidently SW Bell has cut off your service.)

And yet in spite of that, I still awoke to the glorious headline above. I don't see a red state when I look outside my window. I still see blocks of blue Obama signs, and I still smell hope in the air.

Or it could just be pie. It is November, after all. :)

    Yay! Halloween!!

Identify the movies from the following quotes from some of my favorite horror, slasher and eerie films of the past 40+ years. Some are classic films, some are slasher fun and some are must-sees simply because they starred a "Buffy" or "Supernatural" cast member. Some are obvious and some are obscure.

    Jensen was a cheerleader...and so was I. <~~~~ for [info]kittyzams

Ahem. What I used to do before fandom.

Jonah's favorite thing is the monkey mp3 player that he received from his Aunt Vin and Brandi & Sally. Yesterday I actually had time to make a page for his mp3 player for his baby album and I was so proud of how well it turned out, I emailed it to [info]adis723 (who now has a greater respect for scrapbooking. Hah! Suck it, haters!) and decided to share it here.

It's so good, in fact, that I'm thinking of entering it in the scrapbooking craft division of the State Fair next year. Um...who am I, and what have I done with PornyDiamondSue? *cries*

    The Effulgent Scrapbook Page )

And a random question for the f-list: what's up with the under-20 online crowd "decorating" every sentence with randomly placed and utterly unnecessary semi-colons? I constantly see:

    ;;LOL girl lol;; inorite!!!!;

I actually asked one girl what was up with the semi-colon abuse and she said, "Oh, you mean the little earring-looking-things?" O_O

How are you guys this morning?
